Bringing the Magic of Oz to UPMC Children’s Hospital
On December 23, Comcast Business and Universal Pictures worked with Lollipop Theater Network to bring a magical experience to patients and families at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh — a special screening of Wicked: For Good.
This screening event gave children and their loved ones a chance to escape into the enchanting world of Oz during the holiday season, complete with a Yellow Brick Road, Wicked: For Good keepsakes, and interactive games.
“At Comcast Business, we believe in the power of connection — not just through broadband and technology, but through experiences that bring people together,” said Aaron Mimran, Regional Vice President of Comcast Business. “Bringing a moment of joy to UPMC families and staff who need it most this season is what it’s all about.”
The screening was filled with smiles, laughter, and a sense of wonder. Families enjoyed the film, special treats, and a chance to experience the magic of Wicked: For Good on UPMC’s own big screen.
“Our patients and families are at the heart of everything we do,” said Diane Hupp, President of UPMC Children’s Hospital. “Events like this provide a sense of normalcy and happiness during challenging times. We’re grateful to Comcast Business, Universal Pictures, and Lollipop Theater Network for making this magical screening possible.”
Universal Pictures’ Wicked: For Good screenings with children’s hospitals celebrate the inclusive experiences that uplift communities. From Pittsburgh to cities across the country, these screenings reflect the dedication to making entertainment accessible and meaningful for everyone.
